The LVA was established in 1926 and is the biggest private institute for
analysing and evaluating foods, cosmetics and food utilities in Austria.
The Austrian food competence center LVA is acting as a know how
transfer interface between industry and science.
The main scopes of business are chemical and microbial analysis, certification, inspections
of foods in the sense of hygiene or organic products as well as training
and coaching for food producing companies and retailers and being an active player in the ERA.
